Pet Commissions
I love doing pet portraits! Here are many that I've done. When you commission a pet portrait I can paint your fur baby in any kind of environment. Most people seem to like their pet in a floral garden, but you get to choose all the details.

Layla, Tiger, Bella
2025 Gail Taylor-Smith was referred to me in the fall of 2025 for a portrait of her beautiful pups. She had lost Bella (the cutie on the right), and wanted a painting that depicted all 3 of her dogs. She didn't have a single picture of all her loves together so we made a composite of the three in a beautiful garden. We worked together to make sure all of the colors and expressions were correct. I love what we ended up with and she did too! |

Simba
2025 Lisa Jorgensen has been working with me to immortalize her cats for over 10 years now. It's such a pleasure to have gotten to know her over the years. I even get a birthday card from her each year! She contacted me again in the summer of 2025 for an 8x10 portrait of her cat Simba. She said he's the most beautiful cat she's ever had and I'm inclined to agree! Painting his piercing blue eyes was a whole lot of fun. |

MacDoodle A friend of mine commissioned this portrait of their darling MacDoodle. You love this boy just by looking at his sweet face. Such is the wonder and appeal of dogs - their souls shine through their eyes. For the portrait I placed MacDoodle at the seashore, and gave his kerchief a fishy print! They live in Florida, and MacDoodle has now passed on, but I know I would have loved him! |

Winnie, Tigger and Miss Muffet I love this happy trio of pets! Winnie and Tigger are the two bichons, and Miss Muffet is behind them. When I painted their portraits, I placed them all together, among the colorful flowers. Their owners are avid gardeners, and the photos they sent to me of their gardens were just beautiful. A lovely environment for this happy family! |

Winston and Frisco Winston and Frisco are so beautiful, and they look so regal, like they're posing for the picture, (which I believe they are)! I was sent a photo of these two by a friend's brother, who wanted a portrait of his gorgeous boys. I really enjoyed painting them, and I love the colors in the piece. They were sitting on this rug, which I thought was a lovely touch. I made the wall behind them plain, so as not to distract from the dogs. |

Onyx, Hope and Biscotti Aren't these three darling? I don't get to meet most of the pets I paint. I work from their photos. But I know I would love them all! Their "daddys" , who have become friends of mine, commissioned their portraits and this piece was really fun to paint. Don't you think they all look like they're so sweet? |

Rocket Rocket was my little "granddog", and what a Rocket he was! Little Rocket had a big personality! He was a rat terrier, and very smart. He kind of ruled the household. If they were going to give him a toy, and they put it on top of the refrigerator and he saw them do it, he would not rest until they relented and gave it to him! He loved chasing a ball, and would do it til he dropped. He wasn't always friendly to everyone, but he did love me, and I loved him back. |

Sabrina This is one of the cats that Lisa commissioned me to do. Simba is shown earlier here. Sabrina is beautiful, and has such a sweet face. Lisa sent me the photo, and I placed Simba in a soft, pastel setting, with a little lace, and a white butterfly. Sabrina has crossed the rainbow bridge, and I felt that the butterfly symbolized her sweet spirit. |

Ernie and Daisy Love does come in all forms, and there's all kinds of pets that people love. Ernie and Daisy were owned by my sister's friends. They really did love each other, and their owners held a mock wedding for them, complete with guests, and refreshments. Ernie and Daisy munched on lettuce and carrots from what I heard. I would have loved to have been at the wedding. They used this painting for the invitations. |

Tasha Mimi I love this cat's name. She looks like a very calm kitty. In fact, as part of my line of miniature framed prints, she is in that product line, and I've sold many miniatures of her. Although I am a total dog lover, I now have a black cat named Leo. So, now I'm a cat person! I love all animals, and if I had the time I'd probably have a menagerie of animals! |

Demelza
2019 I love pomeranians, and little Demelza is so darling! I like the floral rug I created for her to lie on. I think it compliments her nicely, as she looks like a girly girl! I used to go into a local store to visit "Harry and Marie", the shop owners two pomeranians. I'd walk in the door, and he'd pick one up and thrust it at me, because he knew I loved them. |

Soulful I have always loved this portrait. I don't remember the dog's name, but his eyes and expression are so soulful. Sometimes it looks like dogs just see into your soul. My mother, who was also a huge dog lover, used to say that it was no accident that God spelled backwards is dog. They come closer to unconditional love than most humans. |

Barkley
Sweet little Barkley was commissioned by a friend of mine for her husband, as a Christmas present. In his portrait he's holding his favorite toy - I believe it's a plushy squirrel.

Bailey and Michael Michael commissioned both of these paintings for his partner, Diane. I think the painting of both of them is really cute. The other one I believe was for a birthday gift, or Mother's Day, (I don't remember which). Anyway, that's why Michael had me put that sign with Bailey. He's such a darling boy. (Michael's not bad either)! |
