"Nutcracker Sleigh" is a print made from the original painting I did. I LOVE the Nutcracker Ballet, so when I created this painting, I thought it would be fun to add the characters in the Nutcracker, and put them in the sleigh. I see this as the entrance to a really fun Christmas store; a store that I'd love to shop in! Warm and cozy inside, where you sip mulled cider while you shop.
CRAFTSMANSHIP AND MATERIALS
Giclee printing (pronounced Jee-clay) is considered to be the highest quality digital reproduction technique for fine art. This is an archival-quality giclée print of my original painting, created with the highest care to capture the depth, color, and detail of the artwork. The canvas is stretched on 3/4 inch bars, with the image wrapping around the sides, giving it a finished look that is ready to hang. Framing is optional but not required.

First performed in Russia in 1892, The Nutcracker ballet has since become one of the most beloved Christmas traditions around the world. Inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s fairy tale, the story follows Clara’s magical journey with her nutcracker prince, symbolizing courage, transformation, and the wonder of childhood imagination. Over time, the ballet’s dazzling music by Tchaikovsky and its enchanting scenes of toy soldiers, sugarplum fairies, and snow-covered kingdoms have come to represent holiday magic itself. More than a performance, The Nutcracker is a celebration of dreams, joy, and the timeless spirit of Christmas.
