When I visit my family in Illinois in winter, I see these beautiful red birds, and I love them! I also love the sound they make as they fly around, chattering in their bird language. Once when I was at my sister's desk, one sat right outside the window which, to me, was really special.

So, I painted this little cardinal, and now it's a print. The print is adhered to illustration board, and hangs from red satin ribbons. I add a touch of fine, iridescent glitter for winter sparkle.

Tie the ribbons in a pretty bow and hang this little guy anywhere, display it on a little easel, tie it on a package or bottle of wine for a special gift tag, or pop in an envelope and send someone a lovely gift card.
