The Magic of Christmas Miniature Framed Art
I have always loved miniatures, and it's really fun to make these little Christmas pieces.
This one is called "The Magic of Christmas", and it's a happy little Santa, laden down with toys. I make the print, then coat it with non-yellowing varnish, and adhere it to illustration board. Then I take acrylic paints and highlight areas of the print, making it look more like an original painting. I finish it with another coat of the varnish, and then, since it's for Christmas, I add some fine, iridescent glitter, which makes the piece just sparkle! Especially for the holiday, when it catches the light it's so festive and pretty!
I also hand paint the frame, to go with the print, and it's finished with the non-yellowing varnish as well. The frame measures 5 1/8"x 3 5/8" The piece comes with a small wood easel, to display it. Because the frames are hand finished, there may be slight variations.
