I took a simple painting I did years ago, and decided to paint it larger, and add more detail because I like the composition. Sunlight filters through the trees, dancing across the water as a cozy cottage waits in the distance—a place that feels welcoming, safe, and filled with gentle possibilities.
With most of my paintings, including this landscape, I'm creating places we long to be: gentle, welcoming sanctuaries that offer rest from a busy world.
